DIANNE K. SALERNI, a former fifth grade teacher, is the author of YA and MG novels.

Her upcoming dark MG fantasy, THE CARREFOUR CURSE, explores gothic themes in a story Publisher's Weekly calls "genre-bending" in a starred review.

The EIGHTH DAY fantasy series follows the adventures of Jax Aubrey, who discovers a secret day between Wednesday and Thursday. ELEANOR, ALICE, & THE ROOSEVELT GHOSTS portrays an alternate historical reality where ghosts are known to be real and threaten the future of a famous family. JADIE IN FIVE DIMENSIONS is an adventure in geometry, physics, and conspiracy theories.

I'm thrilled that you enjoyed The Caged Graves. Yes, the caged graves really exist, and the true story behind them is unknown. I've been contacted by the real-life descendants of both Ransloe Boone and Asenath Thomas, and the story was not passed down through their families. Both of these descendants found the graves by accident (like Verity!) or through research on Geneaology.com. Whatever happened, nobody talked about it.

I do have more historical mysteries in the works, but no publication information for them yet. However, I'm glad to know there will be readers looking out for them in the future! All the best ~ Dianne(less)

I am so happy you liked The Eighth Day! It did not start out awesome. The first draft was a mess. I revised it many times. My critique partners and agent and editors all gave me suggestions that improved the story. Plus, I love Jax, Riley, and Evangeline like they are real people!

I hope that you will enjoy the second book, The Inquisitor's Mark!(less)

Launch Day: The Ghosts are Here!

It’s a gloomy, gray day in Pennsylvania — the perfect weather for the launch of Eleanor, Alice, and the Roosevelt Ghosts!

Buried family secrets. Vengeful ghosts. Two very different cousins.

Launching a book in 2020 is very different from my previous experiences. No launch party. No in-person festivals, conferences, or school visits. I don’t even have a physical copy of the book in
