I listen to music too while writing. Reading is also the best medicine to me, along with long walks in the park. When I'm too tired, I watch tv.
I try to avoid TV till I finish what I have set out for the day. If I turn the TV on beforehand I end up never finishing anything. Just kind of get into a couch potato kind of funk.
