Steven Edmondson There's a good update of the Maude that removes the anglicised names, puts the french back into the body of the text (with english in footnotes), and reverts back to the original chapter/structural divisions too I believe. Probably puts it back on the top of the pile translation-wise.

LB This is good to hear b/c not only is the anglicized names look ridiculous, but also there is no distinction between so-called good characters and bad ones since Tolstoy, the racist he was, was in the habit of giving the good guys Russian names and the bad guys foreign ones.
