I was fully anticipating a brief narration from Mark in the final pages . . . But Hawkins showed (correct, I'd say) restraint on that one.
Hawkins let the reader know how the bracelet got to Helen's desk drawer! She just didn't divulge how the bracelet wound up off of Nel's wrist at the cottage.
