Dull??? Lacks intrigue?? Are you sure you are posting about the right book?

The prose is certainly compact. So much happens and so many darkly comedic observations are made within few pages that there is lost to absorb. However I found the story to have good pace. The main characters are very interesting and the humour, most of it quite black, is delicious and sometimes quite shocking.

BTW - because I am in a book club, and this is our book of the month, I am reading it for the second time in 2 years. It's even better the 2nd time around.
