Alaina I just read this book yesterday and I am confused of why you are saying the sex scenes are explicit. They are not described and the book it categorized as young adult which entails that there may be sex scenes.

K Elizabeth Thank You Kelly!

Dan This is no accurate info at all. An explicit sex scene would give specific and graphic details during intercourse. That doesn't happen at all. The book talks about them kissing each other, but when it comes to the sex, it's glanced over. Kelly is using the word "explicit" completely wrong.

Denae Christine Perhaps she meant it's more than implied (implicit). It's very clear the characters are having sex, no room for doubt, even if there aren't a lot of gory details. It's really not for middle schoolers regardless.

Amelia I thought they weren't explicit at all (it's very obvious what's going on but nothing is really described) and the series was fine for a middle school student. If you thought those scenes were bad, you should check out Maas' other series.
