Stephen Look at what happened when King Henry had time to prep though. I think corpusmancer would lose a straight fight against most equivalent level mancer opponent who was well prepared, Especially a fully trained one (with all the latter life tricks). So the always on is a fair balance.

Blake Hernandez The ultra mancers with cumulative power seem to be the strongest in the long run. Artificers, Bone grinders, and facechangers unprepared the are weak but over a long period they accumulate their powers through artifacts and live or dead body manipulation they gain a tremendous advantage. Whats a minute pool versus month or years of pools still in effect. Artificer seem to be the top dog though being able to indirectly use the other mancy types but at the same time kept in check by the fact that other mancers can use the artifacts.
It all works out rather nicely.
