Hi Linwood. Thank you for the reply. I apologize for using the word "shameful" in my "question" as you are obviously very well tuned to the mental health discourse. I was just bummed when I got to the end and Thomas is seen to have killed his father without conscience. I was a bit angry and stopped reading your books for a while. (Although I did get over it and just finished "No Safe House" yesterday. I really connect with your writing style so that may explain my reaction. Also, I am a visual artist and very sensitive to the repercussions of semiotic communication. I hope you accept my apology. You are an individual of top-shelf integrity.
Mr. Linwood, how do you keep from rolling your eyes at questions like the one above? How do you make people understand that not everything in life has to be politically correct, that fiction is fiction?
Definitely one of your best books.Great, unexpected ending. I thought you were very sympathetic to your characters. In fact I find all your characters agreeable. Even the nasty ones. Vince in No Safe House was a great creation, a baddie with a hell of a lot of family values. I love your style. One word of criticism and this is from a bookseller I once spoke to. You tend to rush your finales.I had to agree on Never Look Away. Have you had that one before? Love your work.
