I totally agree with you, and as soon as the true first person started in that final chapter I thought "Ah! The Book Thief already did this!". I like your comparison though to Never Let Me Go, if only this book was as good as that one...
I agree, Yana, Never Let Me Go was so much more affecting -- Buried Giant held me at a bit of a Distance, I'm afraid. I adore Super Sad True Love Story as well. Have you read it?
Love the way you write. Never Let Me Go will always be with me-just hearing the title makes me feel the way the bood made me feel! The title is the way I feel about the book
