Truly scary what narcissists and sociopaths are capable of. 😰
I can agree up to a point, but the author gave several examples to prove how much he loved Frankie, not the least of which was re-upping for another tour to stay with her. If he only lived for himself, he would have left Nam when he had the chance. And in fact it was a huge mistake to stay because that’s when he got shot down.
I think he re-upped to keep stringing Frankie along for a while & postpone going home & facing reality. The only thing he proved is that's not love.
