Agreed!
Agreed. I thought this was a poor choice for a fictious town on the West coast. It made it less believable for me.
Plus, being within bicycle distance of Salinas (Duchess went to the library there) the beaches would not have "hot sand." And, Walk was told someone had moved "out west," when there is no further west once you are in coastal CA!
