Nicole Janeway Disagree.

Judith You may have found it uncomfortable or distasteful, but it is definitely NOT graphic or explicit, just described in the most general terms.

Catherine Tyrrell I thought, while the actual sex was not graphic, the affects of it were very graphic and disturbing and may trigger some for the abusive nature of it.

Judith I think you're saying anything can trigger anyone. Going beyond what's actually portrayed into what the after-effects might be, is too far, in my opinion.

message 5: by Jules (new)

Jules Masson As a survivor, it was disturbing. The abuse of power and lack of consent is very upsetting.

Judith I considered Sadie a survivor after her first affair with Dov, but she went back the 2nd time with eyes wide open. She was not coerced, she made choices, & that's what I found upsetting in the larger context of the story.
