Judith Yes, too abrupt & didn't have anything to do with the storyline.

Fiona I am not sure if you are in Australia (Sydney), Mollie, but the time frame and people's reaction to it was exactly as portrayed in the book. It likely was different overseas.

Judith The book didn't have or need a specific time-frame, it could have happened any time in the recent past. The pandemic was intrusive & unnecessary.
