Regarding the mafioso: I forgot to mention, but what head of a mafia family travels commercial to a killing? And, what wealthy individual arrives at an airport without a pre-arranged driver waiting for him?

I agree the first book was, so far, the better of the two. I also agree that the ride, albeit it a bit spoiled at times, was fun.

I think these are completely reasonable and valid critiques, but ultimately, what draws us to these books is their lighthearted mischief rather than their gritty realism.

I would rather Osman continue to channel his considerable talents into writing great jokes and loveable characters over nailing mafia minutiae.
