Also, what fun we used to have on LJ! Back when the world was young. :-D
If it's been awhile, I reread the books beforehand, which for me is no hardship when it comes to this author's books. I'm actually relishing the thought of rereading the Art of Murder series when the next installment is out. I find that great books are like great movies and great music - I love revisiting them again and again.
This is just my take. You might not need or want to do this. I have the time and inclination, so it's what I do. More specifically, I would say that book 3 in particular would not really *require* a re-read of the earlier books.
Rereading Josh is always a win. I vote reread. I plan to reread all the series when their new entries come in.
