Oh my goodness! This is so fun to have a discussion with people around the world / country who have read the same book. Thinking about your post, Katy. Can any place ever truly be (or survive as a wild place) a wilderness if humans are there? We seem to think wild places can exist with every other animal in them- but possibly not humans... This then makes me think about the question of what is human? We often call people we think are bad or harmful "inhuman". But on the same token, to be human is pretty bad and harmful to our wild spaces!
I thank you for your questions, because they got me thinking about the book. I will be prepared when we have our book group discussion!
