Deb That's what I assumed, too. That throwaway comment seemed to be a clue.

DAM0 I don't think Harriet actually had epilepsy. She had the seizure as a result of the poisoning taking place from the dirty water. The epilepsy line was an indication of how rumours spread and how people make up their minds about things, just like Harriet did when she decided that Danny murdered Robin.

Erik Yeah, I agree she didn't have epilepsy.

Maritza We will never know who the killer was. This so original that it does not fall under the 'who did it' topic. This crime is just the trigger for all the family dynamics and Harriet's obsession with the truth. This crime is just the door that opens to us readers this southern ambiance, the darkness of the adults, the love of her aunts, the neglecting mother, etc., and of course, Harriet's adventures which turned out to be more dangerous than her books.
