I agree with everything you said except the first sentence because, as obvious when reading it, JK didn't write this. She came up with the idea, maybe, but the dialogue isn't hers. I couldn't keep my copy around (made me sad) and couldn't get anyone to take it, so eventually I ditched it at a "leave one take one" library. I hate that it's "canon". Thank god fantastic beasts was well done.
