Natalia Not had a hard time reading the first hundred pages, I think you have to be patient because if everything is action the story makes no sense :)

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ I've finished the book, but have many, many unanswered questions about Claire's time in the 1940's (basically the first 80-100 pages). From what I understand, those questions will be answered as the series progresses, but it felt like the story dragged along, then took a sharp left turn and THEN it started. I DID enjoy it. I've heard over and over that the "beauty is in the series" and since I fell in love with Jamie, I'll continue with Dragonfly in Amber.

Natalia I also fell in love with Jamie, but believe that you fall in love more of him in the following books ;)

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ I'm really excited about starting book #2, but I'm in several challenges and can't get to it until July. The waiting is killing me!

Jeanine Celentano I also love Jaime.

Jeanine Celentano The series will be on the sci-fi channel. I do not care for the actor they picked for Jaime. I pictured him much differently

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ I hate it when that happens, too. I have a whole world inside my head when I read and I kinda like it that way. It's the same for me an audiobooks. I'm getting better at listening to them, but there have been a couple I couldn't get through, simply because a character's voice didn't match my imagination. Weird of me, but hey...that's why I like to read! : )

Peggy Outlander is an excellent read. You may find it slow if you are not a fan of historical fiction, time travel or romance. The book only got more interesting to me. Yes you have to read all of the books in the series if you want to find out what happens to Jamie and Claire. Dragonfly in Amber was slow for me, but I am glad I stuck with it. Answers to your questions Becky, might get answered, might not. I am still waiting for some. I always think that the new book that I am reading has got to be the last but once again Diana Gabaldon will leave you wondering and wanting more. I cannot wait to see the series on TV. So far the trailers have been excellent.

Becky ♡The Bookworm♡ I have mixed feelings about the TV series. The subtle details in writing and the inner thoughts of the characters can't be clearly conveyed through TV. I'd rather submerge myself into the story and savored every morsel BEFORE I watch the television production. If I was already through the book, I probably wouldn't hesitate. I'd have my DVR set! LOL!
