Like many first generation Indians, Bindu started college as a pre-med student but eventually diverted from the traditional well-worn path and pursued her love of books and writing. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree (courtesy of all those pre-med classes) and double majors in English and Mass Media, along with a host of accolades, including the President’s Award. She later pursued a master’s degree in English, but her strong writing and people skills eventually led her towards a very non-literary career path in the software industry.
