Always an avid reader and colorful dreamer, it was only a matter of time before taking pen to paper, oftentimes literally. A firm believer in every song tells a story and every story has a song, I sing under my breath, tap my toes and swing my hips, much to the delight of my co-workers and friends. I freely admit that becoming a romance author is the best mid-life crisis a girl could ever have.

I love doing these smaller (longer) flash fiction pieces. I've done four now set in this world that started with the elevator prompt for GRL 2022. The first piece was included in the Midnight in the Renaissance Elevator anthology collected and published by fellow author, Miski Harris. My goal is

“Darren played with the ice cream before raising a spoonful to his mouth. I watched him lick it before he wrapped his lips around the spoon, closing his eyelids and savoring the flavor on his tongue. He slowly withdrew the spoon from his mouth and opened his eyes. He smiled coyly at my rapt attention. I just wanted to reach across the table, grab a fistful of his hair and lick the ice cream right out of his mouth.”
Alexis Woods, Opening Day

“I stopped right in front of him, personal space be damned, and asked, “Can we do this again?”
He flashed me his gorgeous smile, dimples and all. “Yeah... I’d like that.” I smiled right back.
I turned and pulled open the door, holding it for him. We stepped outside, stopping on the sidewalk. I pulled out my cell and handed it to him. Darren took it, punched in his number and when his cell rang, he pulled his phone out. “Now I’ve got your number, too,” he said. “You’ll have to save mine to your contacts.” He handed my phone back, and I gave him one of the bags.
“Will do. Can I call you tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow’s Opening Day,” Darren said. “Wanna catch the game together?”
I think my heart skipped a beat. “Yeah… I’d like that.”

“. . . when it comes down to it, that’s what life is all about: showing up for the people you love, again and again, until you can’t show up anymore.”

“Be regular and orderly in your life, so that you may be violent and original in your work.”
Gustav Flaubert

“Pull up a chair. Take a taste. Come join us. Life is so endlessly delicious.”

Serena Starlight and Constellation: Gemini

4.5 stars

Normally I give 4 stars to stories I enjoy and hope to read again or read more of in a series and give 5 stars for those books I have managed to read multiple times.

Not only is Alexis a wonderful writer, but the story, progression, and theme's were amazing. Twincest is always a tricky thing to write, but she has pulled it off perfectly.

The story unfolds over 15 years, showing the emotions of Will and Tuck and how their love is a natural occurrence and how that love evolves through their lives.

I do hope that it eventually ends up on Goodreads and that there will be more to Will and Tuck's story.

Rating 5 stars!!!!!

Review:

Normally I don't give reviews, I always afraid that I give to much away of the story. For myself I read the review of 3 people, So I only tell you I liked the the book, and believe me I liked 'Starlight and Constellation: Gemini', I liked it a lot, and because we can not rate or review it on Goodreads I will do it here.
