Patricia Marcantonio (who also writes as Patricia Santos Marcantonio) is the author of the Felicity Carrol mystery series (Crooked Lane Books); courtroom drama Verdict in the Desert and YA Trini’s Magic Kitchen (Arte Público Press, the largest US publisher of contemporary and recovered literature by US Hispanic authors); YA novel Best Amigas (Fitzroy Books) a 2024 Américas Award Commended Title for Young Adult Fiction; and Misbehaving at Cactus Lanes (One More Chapter/HarperCollins.) She spent many years as a news reporter covering crime and courts and has won several journalism awards.
