The financial concepts are really intriguing. Informative, and makes me want to read more of his stuff.

When he starts to wax history/bible he kind of goes off the rails, and I can see how people would just brush him off as a kook.

Three stars for the audiobook, did not enjoy the narrator.

This book was thorough, and I found his treatment of 1 Corinthians 14 persuasive.

“Worship is an act that develops feelings for God, not a feeling for God that is expressed in an act of worship.”
Eugene H. Peterson, A Long Obedience in the Same Direction: Discipleship in an Instant Society

“Well, here at last, dear friends, on the shores of the Sea comes the end of our fellowship in Middle-earth. Go in peace! I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are an evil.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the King

Madeleine L'Engle
“In a very real sense not one of us is qualified, but it seems that God continually chooses the most unqualified to do his work, to bear his glory. If we are qualified, we tend to think that we have done the job ourselves. If we are forced to accept our evident lack of qualification, then there's no danger that we will confuse God's work with our own, or God's glory with our own.”

“You know a people have given up when they stop teaching their children.”
Pierce Brown, Morning Star

“For most of church history good Christians have disagreed on the millennium, and millennial views should not become barriers of fellowship. On the other hand, the millennium is not some incidental doctrine that doesn’t really matter. It is a major part of the Bible’s storyline and involves the nature and timing of Jesus’ kingdom.”
Michael Vlach, Premillennialism: Why There Must Be a Future Earthly Kingdom of Jesus
