So... this is a real thing:

http://stopthegrbullies.com/

The people who run this so-called anti bullying site are hypocrites, liars, slanderers and the very thing they claim to be fighting against. Shaming, defaming and bullying reviewers? Well done, you idiots.

Shannon Emily wrote: "I'm not saying she does, but even if she did, what's wrong with working at Home Depot."

First off, I hate Home Depot. Not the people, obviously, but the store. I get lost and then angry and then I walk out with shelves I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THEY'RE GOING TO GO. AND WHY DID I BUY FLOWERS TO PLANT?! I DON'T EVEN HAVE A FRONT YARD ANYMORE.

Secondly, retail sucks. I worked retail for almost a decade. Nobody aspires to work in retail. Many of us use it as a stepping stone, I obviously am not making fun of anyone for doing that since I did it myself, but it's still ... fucking retail. Yes, it's a job, but it's probably one of the worst out there. You get yelled at, people think you're stupid, people who are stupid yell at you for being stupid, it's just ... awful.

And lastly, I know what Lucy does for a living. (Muahahahaha.) It's like saying a high-powered lawyer works at McDonald's (again, nothing wrong with working somewhere to pay the bills, but nobody would work there if they didn't have to, right?)

The Home Depot thing isn't a slight about people working at Home Depot, it's a slight that the people of that blog attempted at because they have no fucking clue who Lucy is so they make up something they think is insulting. Kind of like how they thought calling Kat an alcoholic and insinuating my sexual preferences and talking about how Ridley is an ANGRY cripple taking it out on the world is insulting. Every last bit of what they said was meant to be insulting, though to me it's all pretty hilarious.

I think that's a really good point, Christina. And I think THT has the perfect answer:

The Holy Terror wrote: "I just wanted to point out that Rachel Vincent has nothing to do with that site or her name being on it. She actually favorited this tweet:

I'm guessing it's probably because we're online at all hours of the day and she doesn't realize that there are workplaces with computers these days.

How would I know, though? I just sit on my ass thinking horny thoughts about men I want to cheat on my husband with in from of my computer collecting evidence of authors' wrong-doings. That's all I do all day. No job for me.

Also, if I wanted to, I could do all this while lounging on the beach. Fuck, I should. Then I could be OUTSIDE and ON THE COMPUTER at the same time! Man, mind BLOWN.

Shiloh Walker has been tweeting some of the authors, I think. The problem is ... that list of authors is mostly culled from my "will never read" shelf, so I doubt they'd want to throw in with us. They may not support that site, but I doubt they'd support us either.

Rachel Vincent is really the only one I see that should contact them.

I think the thing that's hard for me to understand is how no one in her (if it is said person mentioned in your spoiler)real life that isn't calling her out on how wrong these actions are. There has to be someone around her who could tell her "Look, I think you're taking this too personally, too far, and need to stop." But if there are actually people in her life that are actually encouraging her to do all this, that's...I can't even put into words how disturbing that is, added to everything she's already done.

Yes, the latter possibility is also the problem that I see. It is all very tricky - who is a contributor/participant and who was included without her/his knowledge? This is another of the sinister aspects of the site, and another sign of the pathology behind it.

We now have a list of false or pathetically misleading information that IS on the site. We also have a short list of unwilling 'participants' who have taken legal action against it.

I may be misreading the situation, but it seems that the burden has fallen on those who don't want to be there, to say so. I would be interested in the perspectives of our 'legal team' on any of these questions.

Or she loses internet access somehow. Honestly, I think there is something seriously wrong there. I would be more sympathetic towards her if she wasn't vicious, she needs help. And unfortunatly it looks like it's not going to happen anytime soon.

I understand, and Home Depot as a cooperation is miserable and growing worse. Retail is no one's idea of a good time, but sometimes depending on where you live full-time year round employment with benefits is hard to come by. I guess the idea that the job in and of itself is "insulting" annoys the crap out of me. Obviously this blogger hasn't ever had to work some shit job where your treated like a total moron, working for jack asses, and paltry wages. Some part of me thinks a service industry job should be a pre-requisite, so people understand that those who clean their toilets, ring up their groceries, and/or serve their dinner are not sub-human.

I'll put the soapbox away now.

I couldn't agree more. I really think the people who are rude and demanding in stores or in restaurants have never been on the receiving end. I am especially nice to cashiers - that shit is HARD on your body and boring as hell. And I don't know how many times I was yelled at for simply asking someone if they were finding everything ok, so I don't bite off greeters heads either. People are assholes. It was times like those (and also these with Vanity) that I can only hope that karma will take care of them.

Barbara (VampAngel) LMAO. *wipes tears of laughter from eyes*

SERIOUSLY? SERIOUSLY?

I'm sorry, but I found the site hilarious. It's just so plain the person behind it is a sad/bitter little human. I'm sure the people who have their information exposed and wanted to remain anonymous may think differently and I'm sorry if that is your case. However, if that happened to me I wouldn't give two shits. It's not like I'm a CIA agent who needs to remain hidden. But, if you aren't happy to be there and want your information down, I'll help you in any way I can. Just let me know how.

Plus, have some:

and a hug, if you want.

Barbara (VampAngel) PS: May I just say everybody in that site that has a picture up is mighty pretty. We should have a "GR Bully" beauty pageant. The talent portion would have each one doing what they think we do best. Kat could drink, THT could just lie down, etc.

Did I joke too far? Let me know, I can do that sometimes. No harm meant though.

It'll be like Toddlers and Tiaras, but... Reviewers and Tiaras? Between that, Real Housewives of Goodreads, the CW show and the Lifetime movie, this is making for some awesome entertainment.

Bet Vanity didn't expect that outcome.

I'm not even remotely an expert but having read her blatant sock puppet account commentary, her blog rants and this new GR bully site it's super obvious that it's one person writing all of it. Anyone can see how her syntax matches over all those sources.

She's fighting a losing battle because the site she opened up (allegedly) won't even make sense to anyone BUT people already on GR lol.

You have a sound argument there, Lucy. The person in question does seem to have some range issues. What she fails to see is that she is bringing the community closer together. Wendy stated that she has seen an outpour of support. The same will happen from this. It is sad that we have to rally around one another, but facts are facts.
I hope that nothing further comes from this than some crazy-ass ranting.
