I love how Philippa writes her characters. I love how she makes us love and care for them as well, or at least empathize with them. I can see their motivations, their flaws and still be very supportive of them. That's how you write good, well-rounded, believable characters, especially when inspired by real-life people. There's no obvious villains, no obvious evil-doer, but you still can have favourites
