Loving this. Ugh, such a gut-punch. One part romance, one part grief/loss - all from the same relationship. Top-notch so far.

My hold at the library ran out. But I honestly need a breather. This is over 600 pgs so a brief break waiting for it to come back into rotation will be good. Very good non fiction but difficult to read.

This is narrative non fiction. Names I had only ever heard about briefly in school are highlighted. Going in I dont know much about Argentina but it is compelling. It was interesting hearing about Evita - someone I only knew as portrayed by Madonna ( yet, still havent watched it.)

Received this as part of my bookclub xmas gift exchange. I have been wanting to read it for a while. I did briefly start it previously and the writing itself seems fantastic. Finally giving this it's moment.

This is cute but a little YA. Im pretty sure it is not an actual YA. This is a story of one character (Noah) basically ghosting another (Atticus) for more than 2 years. Totally messed up. Told in dual timelines - which Im not 100% sure is working for me.

So far this has been a bit of a slog. We are almost a quarter through and nothing much has happened. She has literally just been waiting for her missing husband to return to his hotel. Definitely more of a character driven novel but it needs to get going or it maybe a DNF.

Liking this so far. Narrator is a plus - think this is going to end up being a gut punch.

At least a third of this book is a guard walking on patrol - it’s a little dull. And while you do get to know the characters motivations a bit better it just seems to drag.

I think this is one of those books you don’t know what’s going on but it is intriguing - you slowly get pulled into the world. I don’t think you’ll have everything explained but at the end it will be worth it.

So I had started this during the holiday but it was a little too hectic and I found my mind wandering. So I restarted it. It's important to note that this book has a narrative that is written from the perspective of Cancer. This narrative also has unique formatting so I do suggest following along with an physical/ebook version of the book if your listening.

Horrible narrator. Sounds like a poor Jennifer Coolidge impersonation reading cheap naughty magazine. I stopped listening because it was that bad. It was ruining the book.

I think I would have enjoyed this more if I had not started watching the show. Not sure if I will continue with the series (reading). Depends on the ending. I also think while the writing is for a slightly older YA audience that I would have preferred this written in an adult age range.

The show is still very close to this material. I kinda wish I would have read this first. A lot of this is rehash though I do enjoy the world building in the book. It helps make sense of the different Grisha within the story.

I had started this right after Daisy Jones. I am really enjoying it so far. I think that this will be a more impactful read than Daisy Jones, due to the topics of race and women's rights. While it is told in a similar style; I think these characters have a more distinct vernacular due to their cultural and social backgrounds.

The world building is very strong in this. So far it looks as if most of the show has followed what I have listened to. I have owned this book since the year it came out but it slipped through the cracks.

Loved this. I enjoyed the entire listen through but the end totally cinch it for me. Unlike most endings in contemporaries where they are heartbreaking beautiful; this one really felt hopeful.

This is a series I read when I was younger. I keep reminding myself that it is meant for younger audiences. It really reminds me of Fanfiction. Albeit a wholesome fanfiction 😅

Listening to this via audio on the Libby app. January Lavoy is killing it with the narration (as always). So far I have really enjoyed this book. I hope the logic of the story does not completely fall apart.

Patsy, the main character of this book is infuriating. I personally find her character apprehensive but it makes the story all the more believable. The writing is top-notch. One of the best written books I have read this year.
