I'm hooked but I wish I hadn't read the 20-something page introduction which contained a spoiler I didn't appreciate.

Only about a hundred pages left. I'm reading a first edition - checked-out from the library! Am i the only one left on the planet that still does that? The slick, shiny paper cover/sleeve is missing of course and so all that's left is the actual ugly pinkish, falling-apart-somewhat, 28 year-old book. Not very far into it I realized I was reading a masterpiece so I am very carefully reading it savoring this first read

So far, so bloody ..and so beautiful as far as language goes. It makes me want to read everything mr. McCarthy has ever written.
