Right off the bat with purity

Chapter 1 gave a brief overview of the debate between Porter and Fanning. My first Greek prof insisted that Porter was wrong about aspect, so I’m curious to see where this book will go.

Reading in honor of the legend gone to be with the Lord

A concern I have after reading chapter 4 is at what point does the attempt of anachronism as Barton defines it start to violate or obscure the narrative details in that past time of the biblical text or story? Because those details were given for specific reasons, what risk is there of losing them in anachronism?

This class just keeps getting interesting. And still kinda brutal 😂
