This is a really bad book. In 33 pages we've been pitched the merits of the book we are currently reading every other page. Beginning to wonder when the value is going to be added.

I'm not sure why I wasn't forced to read this book the second I set foot in film school. Its certainly a travesty I wasn't.

Kind of wish the Oscars would return to the glory of 1971 now.

We viewed Bonnie and Clyde before reading this chapter. I wish I had read this in 2008 as the Great Recession as we're now calling it was so very similar except in the way Hollywood responded to it.

This chapter reminded me of the period of American history whose impact still defines so many of the negative qualities on modern American life. It reinforces in my mind the continued need for the guarantees of the 2nd Amendment. Its also terribly ironic that the RNC took up the gun lobby in the wake of this era.

Twenty two pages of explaining why I need to ad the book I'm already reading.
