Ok, Cal has improved a bit since then. I really didn’t want to dislike him. The one tent trope has emerged. Haha. Can’t wait to see how this is going to develops the characters.

This chapter was hard to read and almost made me DNF the book. Him being defensive with the teacher was out of line. Cal was mostly on my good books until then. He’s awful to her and to Russ afterwards, completely disrespectful and down right cruel. I’m so sick of his self pity. Yes, he is a deeply flawed person, maybe too flawed. You make time to look after your kid, end of story.

I did a brain part and got two books confused, i mistakenly said his wife but in fact i meant his husband called Malcolm. My bad. Really great humour in the book. It’s great. Amazing writing and dialogue. The sister is awesome.
