I'm so glad I got back into this series. Pratchett's emphasis is humor, yet the plot is certainly strong enough to be taken seriously in its own right. His characters are likeable and, despite their absurd situations, very relatable. I'm excited that there are so many more Discworld novels after this that I have not yet experienced.

Fell asleep reading this last night (not a reflection of its quality at all, just because I was dead tired). Woke up about an hour later, still holding the book open exactly as I would when actually reading it. That was bizarre.

The book itself is very enjoyable so far; it's been a long while since I read Pratchett, too long in fact.

Hilarious. A perfect antidote to the over-the-top cynicism of Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. I would love to witness a conversation between Palahniuk and Norm Macdonald. The result would surely be something for students of both literature and comedy to analyze for centuries to come.

Good but very unsettling (you know, like most of Palahniuk's writing).
