All right, so I can't resist a Tarot meets HG plot once again. Jackson is so annoying, though. Almost annoying enough to thumb through his scenes. It's the fever series all over, cool plot, interesting fantasy elements, a lot of suspense--and the most annoying man ever who is somehow wanted by every female in the book just because he's vaguely hot.

Oh the twist is coming. It seems like it will be a series, though goodreads never put any number next to the title. I've got a feeling Morpheus will get the short end of the stick, and the cardboard cutout of vanilla regurgitations (c) known as Jeb will end up with the girl. Not that I adore M. so much, but Jeb... so. boring.

The concept is fascinating, and I love the description of ruined cities. But sooooo sloooooow. It still feels like set-up. Also, the social commentary is dumbed down to a level where I think it might be written with ten year olds in mind. Except ten year olds and birth control - not that relevant.
