The tea! The chisme! It’s reading like a soap opera and Tolstoy has somehow managed to write the mundane dramas of our lives into a tragic page turner. Also the lives of the rich are entirely pretentious performances.

So many inspiring ideas! It’s asking me to humble my pursuit of justice, scale it down to the personal level, and feel the weight of every action and moment.

I feel Im growing fond of the characters in all their complicated emotions. The writing feels so earnest and genuine.

Dense, but fascinating. Jackie Wang had a very spirally, thought provoking style of writing. I’m especially intrigued by the way she describes the panopticon and how technology has fused with the other sinister aspects of our carceral system.

Im trying to understand! It’s a strange and beautiful world Anne Carson spills onto the pages.

A fun read. My first Murakami, his writing is elegant, pensive, and honestly quite witty. I’m excited to see where this narrative goes, as the two dimensions slowly melt into each other.

This book is a bit hard to read through, definitely something to digest slowly. I’m taking my sweet time but the concepts are intriguing and important. It’s helped me work through my complex about intelligence and what the value of knowledge is, and who it serves presently.

Growing my personal understanding of my trauma, but i’m also incredibly inspired by the work of the psychologist and neuroscientists. The field is ever growing and expanding. Vanderkolk’s writing style is provocative, analytical, but also very sweet. His love for humanity and the field of psychology is contagious.
