I can’t stop thinking about how differently Armand’s life would have been if he hadn’t been kidnapped by the Roman coven. His time with them seems to have set the tone for his entire existence and it’s just so sad.

It’s interesting to see how Armand has processed his earlier trauma, although considering his mental state in the beginning of the book it seems he just swapped one bad experience for another.

Both Armand and David are dealing with a lot of stuff. I’m not sure if trauma is the right word but I think it fits. David was already hanging by a thread because of Lestat as well as the reveal w the veil. Armand is also struggling. Knowing he is unable to die and move on to the afterlife has changed him. It’s causing him to relive past trauma, putting him in a very fragile mental state.
