Finally, just finished a chapter on a SOMEWHAT positive note!

I challenge anyone to read this book and not become enraged and disgusted by the words, thoughts, and actions of the United States.

Excellent writing, important history for those who would consider reading it. Of course it’s a shame that all the people out there that need to read it would never dream of it.
My ambivalence about the US grows each and every day. I’m remarkably fortunate to have been born here, I’ve led a privileged life for the most part. But the more I learn about my country the more disgusted I become.

I dare anyone to read this book, hear these stories, and then tell me that what we’re doing in the United States rn is anything but morally bankrupt.
