okay like i was trying to be super high brow and into this but i kept thinking abt what frame of mind a man named graeme would have to be in to write about a teenage girl's first sexual encounter (disputed) with her cousin 😭😭

why the hell is she getting emo abt her ex to pink+white instead of literally any other frank ocean song😭😭 you know what sometimes i am moved by how hard this book tries to seem well informed and youthful

i think i've been spending too much time on linkedin because the fact that goldmund's idea of freedom is fucking women and eating berries in a forest is so insane to me (lost me at the berries). i know that's the point BUT i don't agree w the point. goldmund get ur shit together🤬🤬🤬

every time a richard chapter is longer than 5 pages i get a tension headache im not sure why

every few chapters elena always comes to the conclusion that she’s too uneducated and uninformed to be around the people she’s around and i feel SEEN AND HEARD 😻😻

a lot of opinions being stated here 😜😜 what happened to clarifying that it’s an opinion 🔥🔥 this is not an academic paper i think there’s some responsibility involved in publishing for a wider audience

i was sort of into it at the start but now it's getting repetitive. the author reiterates a lot of points for continuity but it's unnecessary.
for example, if in an earlier section of a chapter he says, "elmo is red with an orange nose and i love him", in the immediate next section of the the same chapter, he'll say, "we know that elmo is red with an orange nose and i love him" (obviously not a real quote)

documenting that i STILL READ it's just not books. but this summer i'll probably have nothing to do for the first time in a long time and i still don't know if it's a good thing but hopefully i will read entire books 😔😔😔 posting an embarrassing goodreads update so that i actually do it 💔 the day i start punctuating consistently know that it's over

woke up at 12, ate lunch, read this, slept again, and i've started punctuating slightly 💔
