While reading I keep noticing how the story lines told second hand to a child by a 17 year old passed from a middle aged man don't sound plausible. If I am talking about events from my childhood I don't go into meticous detail about the setting or mention repeatedly whether my clothing was comfortable or not. Jack's Eton collar and scratchy suit for example is a bit too much.
