Kad par atklāšanos otram runā Astrīda, viņa to skata cilvēku attiecību kontekstā, un viņas atbilde arī ir “nevar”, precīzāk - “nedrīkst”. Uzticēties drīkst tikai līdz robežai.

(..) Astrīda nereti ir pratusi kā ar nazi nogriezt ceļu attiecībās ar cilvēkiem, kuriem viņa vairs neuzticas vai kuri viņu aizskāruši, jo nav gatava kompromisiem.

Māksla sākas tur, kur ideju atklāj ar mākslinieciskajiem izteiksmes līdzekļiem, nevis ar literatūru.
