Only about a fifth into this book and I am gripped by the story. Angie Thomas is a marvelous storyteller.

This is a powerful read. I am reflecting especially on Sarah Marcus Donnelly and Charles Ellenbogen essays in this provocative book. It is making me see Cleveland with different eyes. I am looking forward to discussing it with others.

Just beginning now. I plan to read this book over the next couple of weeks. I have started a private FB group to discuss it with friends. It looks like a tremendously compelling book of short stories. Originally heard about it on NPR. If you'd like to join the discussion, let me know.
