Book is pretty good. I think Knuckle Supper got its inspiration from this book!

Kathe Koja knows how to write! This trip to his mom’s house is funny and sad.

I like Koja’s writing! At times I have to search the big words she uses online, to get a better understanding of the story, but I love learning new words! That first chapter was really good! :D

Flight to Byzantium was alright. It was boring at first, but it got more interesting the more it went on. Glad I persevered! :D

Hekati Yoga by Max D. Stanton had superb writing and great visuals! I overall give this story about a woman who goes to this new Yoga class that transforms her from human to an ineffable creature four stars. I liked it a lot, even though it was sluggish at moments. (I loved the scene with the multiple mouths puking the remnants of... well I don't want to give anything away, so read it for yourself!)

Lackers by Leo X. Robertson was pretty good. Not my favorite in this anthology, but I give it a solid three stars. It’s about a sort-of support group for people with missing body parts. The get together in this weird orgy and caress each others wounds. Pretty weird, but I liked the ending!

Descrambler by C.M. Muller was really, really good! The whole mobile video van deal was so cool that I wanted to write my own story on that alone! But then things got trippy when the film majoring main character meets the Bottom Feeders! I loved this story so much and I give it a good five star read! I couldn’t put the book down while reading this story!

Red Lips in a Blue Light by Sara Century was kind of confusing and I think I missed the point of the story. I liked the visuals the author painted with the mother being bed ridden (or whatever you call it). I’m struggling to decide wether that story should get two or three stars. It was well written, but I think I missed something.

A Bad Patch by Brian Evenson was so good! I liked the first person perspective of a man with a protruding belly and the story Evenson weaves in ten pages! Enjoyed it!
