It was all going so well until chapter 8 on "Real Men, Women, and Families". I find it hard to believe this was published in 2014. Feminism is to blame for young men taking their own lives, womanhood = motherhood, the single life gets a brief paragraph, and LGBT+ Christians don't exist at all. I'm going to press on, but this is a very troubling chapter in a book that claims to be promoting a "modern faith."

Initial thoughts: an interesting and useful book with perhaps an unfortunate overtone of "if only the Church was better all these people wouldn't be becoming Pagans". I think this book is aimed at a mainstream Christian audience and so the author puts a lot of effort into allaying Christian fears about Paganism, which, not coming from that position, I find a little wearing.
