I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since this book is ABOUT THE INQUISITION but damn. This book pulls no punches and has produced lots of intense conversations about racism, antisemitism, classism, imperialism, theology…the narrative structure is a bit confusing, as it’s told from a variety of different people’s perspectives until we catch up with the children in present time. An overall a pretty good read.
