You know it's a helluva good book when your heart sinks a little when you realize you've finished it. It's a more than worthwhile history when the notes and bibliography take up almost as much space as the text. I felt like I was right there in the thick of the early days of the Amrican Revolution. That's quite an accomplishment for a work of non-fiction!
