The thesis is that all domestic dogs demonstrate behavior consistent with their ancestor, the wolf. Halfway in, and the author repeats himself with slight variations on this theme. Interspersed throughout are reflections of his time with his mentor, a former Green Beret, and their time in the Alaskan wild observing wolves. This book feels like an exteneded brochure for ProTrain Memphis, the author's dog training site
