One thing that I gotta give Steve the biggest props in the world for: the books teach you how to read them. It feels like I'm firing on all cylinders, picking up every single clue thrown out; I no longer need the Tor rereads to explain the "between the lines" things to me, I'm usually on the same page from the jump.
