Not a fan of this one. Trying to slog through it for our bookclub meeting this month. The author uses prose like a sledgehammer and has apparently never heard the maxim "less is more." Also, his handling of female characters and their thoughts and motivations feels creepy and abysmally clueless.

Old adventure stories from the 1930s seem even more racist as audiobooks than they do when you read them yourselves. I guess because you can’t skip over the racist bits 😕
