I have definitely become a fan of the cozy fantasy genre. It’s less “chosen ones must defeat the dark menace threatening the world in an epic confrontation” and more “low key do-gooders trying to make their dreams a reality, day by day.” Minor magics, compassionate characters, and a dash of romance make for hearty fare and this book is bringing all three. It’s a good real-world dumpster fire antidote.
