This month’s book club read and it’s a bit of a slog for me. The author could easily have trimmed 30% of it. There’s so much extraneous detail and so many tedious anecdotes that it’s like she was trying to write the gaming novel version of Madame Bovary, complete with a character with a dodgy foot.

Welp, I made it six chapters before giving up. This one was not for me. #DNF

Loving this one. It's like reading a Hallmark Channel movie, but funnier and earthier.
