The whole lovey dovey tangent feels really out of place and unbelievable to a point where I found myself rolling my eyes already once.

At first I found the alternate time line distracting but I'm starting to see now how it might end up being a clever storytelling device.

80s pop culture haven! That can be quite fun but I am now also hoping that the story pacing picks up soon.

I'm starting to remember why I loved the previous 2 Smoky Barrett books as much: gritty, dark but with very multifaceted character descriptions.

I like how the author makes the space battles feel a bit like submarines duking it out. Everything's very slow and dependant on carefully calculated firing solutions. Makes for a tense but not over the top reading experience.

Feels a bit like the Battlestar Galactica series remake - i like that! The premise of the story is a bit far-fetched even for sci-fi but I am willing to overlook that in order to enjoy the ride.
