Not only is Paterson the best poetry I've ever read, it's also one of my favourite books altogether. It might not have the sonority that Ginsberg or O'Hara have in their poems and I'm not sure I understood most of it. However it creates a strong imagery that resounds within you, and leaves a feeling of emptiness when you finish reading it.
A hard act to follow.
